Current Book: Forgiveness

FORGIVENESS

Please Join WIHS Reading Room August 19th to September 16th as Valerie Secore reads "Forgiveness" by Garry Inrig

Gary Inrig brings wonderful breadth, depth, and balance to a very difficult subject: forgiveness. Whether it's living forgiven, learning to forgive, what to do when an offender refuses to request forgiveness, whether we're asking, giving, or waiting for forgiveness, this book covers the subject with Inrig's on-the-mark illustrations and solid biblical teaching. It is impossible to exaggerate the importance of the subject of forgiveness to the Christian faith. If the Bible makes it clear that Christians are forgiven people, it also makes it clear that we are to be forgiving people. How and when do we do that? What does it look like?

Reader's Review

The subject of Forgiveness is always a Present Need, it NEVER goes out of fashion. I found this book to be engaging and very well written--enjoyable to read--easy to understand. I enjoy a well turned phrase and to quote the author, "A Forgiven people are to be a Forgiving people." I have recommended this book as a TEXTBOOK for Forgiveness. Do I personally agree with the entire book: no, but I do believe it is a Valuable work, Significant in it's subject, and Brilliant in the majority. Besides who is going to ever agree entirely with anyone? Well done Pastor!

And remember....if you only have time to read one book,
make sure it's God's book -- The Holy Bible!

"Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone,
but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
Matthew 4:4
