WIHS was privileged & blessed to join with hundreds of brothers & sisters in Christ to read God's Word at the 5th Annual Bible Reading Marathon on the steps of the State Capitol in Hartford!!

  • The House of Good Hope, Hartford House of Prayer began the 5th Annual Bible reading Marathon on Thursday, May 7th (also the 64th Annual National Day of Prayer), and it was concluded on Wednesday, May 13th. The Bible was read from 8am-10pm each day.
  • Revelation 22:21 was read on Wednesday, May 13th at 12:15pm. The readers then began reading from the book of Matthew again, finishing in John 16 at 10pm.
  • Nearly 400 readers from over 49 different churches & Christian ministries from all parts of Connecticut & Massachusetts participated: Hartford, East Hartford, Bloomfield, Windsor, South Windsor, Seymour, the CT Shoreline, the CT Valley Shoreline, Norwalk, Danbury, Middletown, Manchester, Kensington, Cromwell & New Britain
  • The Bible was read in English, French, Vietnamese, Creole, 4 Indian languages, Italian, Igbo (one of the languages in Nigeria) & several people read in Spanish!!
  • The 3 youngest readers were all 12-years old: 1 young lady from Cromwell & twins from Hartford!

WIHS PRAISES GOD for the blessing and the privilege to be able to read
His Word publicly in a FREE country!
