Connecticut Capitol Prayer Network Reception
State Capitol, Hartford
Thursday, December 3, 2015
State Senator Michael A. McLachlan hosted a reception in appreciation of The Capitol Prayer Team, those who faithfully pray at the State Capitol for the members in our State Government.
The WIHS Office Staff was invited because as "private citizens", Susan, Tina and Robin were co-coordinators of the 2014 & 2015 Bible Reading Marathons, and Susan and Robin have been members of the CT Capitol Prayer Walking Team since 2013.
In addition to Senator McLachlan, who is from the Twenty-Fourth Senate District, and the Deputy Minority Leader of the CT State Senate, we were joined by Senator Crisco of the 17th District and Senator Martin of the 31st.
There were about 25 prayer warriors present, including Pastor Marian McIntosh (State Director, CT Prayer Caucus Network), Pastor Audrey McIntyre (Director, House of Good Hope/Hartford House of Prayer), Lucy Snow (Director, CT Capitol Prayer Walkers), & Mary Bruce (Northeast Coordinator, National Day of Prayer)
You certainly don't have to travel to Hartford to pray for our State Government - but ... if you would like to join up with others in this powerful mission field at the State Capitol, contact Lucy Snow at firstname.lastname@example.org. Perhaps you have heard Lucy interviewed on WIHS for her role in the Capitol Prayer Team. She has been a part of this ministry for years, and knows some of the "ins & outs" of praying at our State Seat of Government.
"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority,
that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all goodness and holiness.
This is good, and pleases God our Savior..."
